Late in the evening of May 28, I had a flight from Shanghai to Ljubljana with a transfer in Istanbul. Ten months in Shanghai flew by with a blink of an eye and it was time to return to my family and friends and spend the summer in Europe. After landing in Slovenia at exactly eight in the morning the next day, my parents picked me up at the airport. On the way home from the Ljubljana airport, we stopped briefly at my aunt’s house, who lives somewhere halfway between the airport and our home. Of my sister’s children, I have only seen my niece so far, because my nephew has chicken pox, which I myself have never had and got over.. So, unfortunately, I haven’t been able to meet all my family members in my hometown, but I have already managed to see most of my uncles, aunts and cousins who live in the Republic of Serbia. Only two days after my arrival, together with my parents, I visited the Serbian cities of Novi Sad, Belgrade and the suburb of Šabac, where most of my relatives on my father’s side live. We stayed in Serbia for only two nights. We spent the first night on our own in the beautiful village of Mala Remeta near Vrdnik, and the second night in the newly built house of my aunt and cousins in Belgrade.
Hello Europe, hello summer!
