As I wrote in a previous post, we experienced more than two months of complete lockdown of the city in Shanghai.
From the Brazilians with whom I shared apartments years ago, I took the habit of cutting my hair just before the full moon appeared. Why, I don’t know, but I’ve gotten used to it and I’ve been keeping it for at least the last 5 years. Brazilians are convinced that following the moon maintains better hair growth.
Due to following the full moon and the 2 month COVID-19 restrictions, I was only able to visit the hairdresser after three months. I haven’t had such long hair in a very long time, but I’ve had longer hair before. Just before the haircut, I wanted to mark and memorize this, as I call it: “end-lockdown hairstyle”.
Was a haircut a good idea?
